Karen Allison took up the game in high school; she never dreamed of how far it would take her. Now retired, Allison has traveled the world to participate in bridge tournaments. She represented Canada in world competition (New Orleans in 1978 and Valkenburg in 1980). A WBF World Master, Allison was the first woman ever to represent Canada in Open Teams - Monte Carlo 1976, where her team placed 13th in the Olympiad Open Teams. Allison has won five North American championships.
